Don’t Be Dinner is an interactive piece of fiction where you are a medieval knight talking to a monstrous troll in a dark forest through numerous dialogue trees. Each tree ending has a different outcome based on two simple answers selected by the player. I developed Don’t Be Dinner as my first commercial Unity game and release it on the Windows Store for Windows 8.1+.

Along with writing the code and the script, I also was the voice actor for the troll and worked with a friend to produce the voices for all the different knight characters.

Responsibilities

  • Write all game code using C# to implement 3D characters and animations using pre-purchased Unity store asset packs. Additional logic includes menus, game state management, and unlockable character progression.
  • Design story and write dialogue trees leading to 45 unique game endings.
  • Direct and record voice over actors for each playable character. I voiced the Troll character and modified the audio using Audacity.
  • Released on the Windows app store for Windows 8.1+ devices including PCs and Surface tablet computers.
